On My Wishlist (107)

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where I list all the books I desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming.

Lady Sophia Barnes doesn’t take no for an answer. Especially when she’s roaming London’s seedy underground…dressed as a man.

A rabble rouser for justice, Sophie’s latest mission is to fight for the rights of the poor, the wretched—and the employees at Madame Hartley’s brothel. She’s not concerned about the criminals who will cross her path, for Sophie has mastered the art of deception—including the art of wearing trousers. Now her fate is in her own hands, along with a loaded gun. All she needs is instruction on how to shoot it. But only one person can help her: Lord Quint, the man who broke her heart years ago. The man she won’t let destroy her again…

The last thing Damien Beecham, Viscount Quint, needs is an intrusion on his privacy, especially from the beautiful, exasperating woman he’s never stopped wanting. A woman with a perilously absurd request, no less. For Damien is fighting a battle of his own, one he wishes to keep hidden—along with his feelings for Lady Sophia. Yet that fight is as hopeless as stopping her outlandish plan. Soon all Quint knows for certain is that he will die trying to protect her…

After the murder of a teenage girl, a mysterious man in a black leather jacket was seen lurking near the crime scene. Investigative reporter Tessa Novak has him in her sights as the culprit…

That man was Julian Darcangelo, an undercover FBI agent working with the Denver police. He’s closing in on the trail of a human trafficker and killer. Tessa’s accusations could blow his cover, and he wants her off the investigation.

But just as Tessa has made Julian a target of interest, she is now a target of the killer. And as they are forced to trust each other, their physical attraction escalates as intensely as the threat from a ruthless murderer who wants to see both of them dead…

Recklessly she danced the night away. Newly arrived at the Denver cavalry post, she was the darling of the regiment..until a shadow fell across her path--a raven-haired man who made her blood run hot and her heart stop cold. No longer the dazzling debutante, Martay Kidd was suddenly the hostage of a man who would plunder her body, capture her heart, and carry her off into a world beyond her wildest dreams.

The white man knew him as James Savin. The Sioux called him Night Sun, the bravest of all warriors. But his true identity was as secret as his plan for revenge on the cavalry officer who'd massacred his family so long ago. His plan was perfect. He'd meant to exchange his beautful prey for the life of the general himself. But he hadn't planned on spiriting her back to his people, into the Dakota territory, the world he was meant to command. And he hadn't planned to become the captive of his ravishing prisoner, bound to a love that could never be.

When India Baldwin went into work one Saturday to update her computer skills, she had no idea she would end up backdating herself! But one slip on the keyboard and the lovely young widow was transported back to the time of Charlemagne --- and right in the middle of a battlefield.
Forced to take refuge with the virile Theuderic of Metz, India was at first put off by the arrogant warrior's overbearing views --- and his insistence that she share his bedroll. There was no way a modern-day career woman could adjust to life in such a barbaric age. But before she knew it, India found herself merrily munching on boar and quaffing ale, holding her own during their dangerous journey, and yearning for the nights when Theu's masterful touch left her wondering if she ever wanted to return to her own time.
